Capturing the fractures that emerge from social divides — the dysfunctional lines that run through communities separating people by class, race, opportunity or identity. These rifts disrupt the natural balance of society creating tension where there might otherwise be cohesion. It promotes the growth of imbalance - some rise while others are pushed down and the collective strength of society weakens under the weight of division.
