Right up your Alley speaks to the ongoing closure of alleyways across North Inner City Dublin. These iconic alleyways were once vital passageways linking neighbourhoods, serving as routes for coal and milk deliveries and providing safe pathways for children on their way to school or play. These closures have disrupted long-standing neighbourly interaction and spontaneous community encounters leaving what was once vibrant shared spaces now cut off and forgotten.

This installation was inspired by storytelling sessions held with Ballybough community recalling childhood memories of local alleyways.
